Creative Match Report

Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers see a creative choice more clearly. A strong contribution has a specific subject, a clear point of view and enough detail to show what the reader will understand by the end.

What to pitch

We consider explanatory pieces, comparisons, visual readings, creative histories, thoughtful accounts of process and focused ideas about collaboration. Choose a distinct question rather than a broad subject such as creativity or design in general.

Make the case

Use the Contact page to send a short proposal. Tell us the working title, the central idea, the intended reader and the main points or examples you would use. Mention any relevant sources or visual material you expect to rely on, and disclose any interests that could affect the piece.

What helps a pitch

We look for clear thinking, precise language and examples that support the point without turning the piece into a list of rules. Do not send confidential material, claim experience you cannot substantiate or assume that a proposal has been accepted until we have agreed on it.

Our point of view

Good matches leave room for difference

Creative elements need not be identical to belong together. The most interesting pairings give each part a role while making the whole feel considered.
